Political pressure and internet-bred conspiracy theories have eroded one of the FDA’s prime functions — the communication of scientific truth, FDA Commissioner Robert Califf said at the annual meeting of the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society (RAPS) taking place in Phoenix this week.
